Position Overview:

We are seeking an IT Support & Compliance Technician responsible for the delivery and support of IT services to the end user, including deployment of user computer hardware, software, printing/scanning, mobile, and other workplace technical services including help desk support. Strong desktop troubleshooting skills will be used to handle technical support requests and determine root causes including diagnosing and resolving issues with PC’s, laptops, mobile devices, printers and peripherals. You will also be responsible for imaging PC’s, deploying and configuring software, and managing technology requests and account creation. In addition to technical support, you will also need to support the company’s efforts in adhering to security compliance and work with IT management to deliver and implement security best practices and compliance.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot technical issues on desktops, phones, and email systems
  • Install and configure server operating systems to agreed standards (under the direction of IT management)
  • Install and configure software to agreed standards and ensure software license compliance (under the direction of IT management)
  • Gather information on user issues and escalate as necessary
  • Provide basic support for items such as printer configurations, password resets, and the like
  • Work collaboratively with client delivery to support IT needs and product deployments
  • Work collaboratively with IT management to deliver compliance reports to Partners and Clients
  • Work collaboratively with IT management to implement security best practices in order to adhere to contemporary compliance requirements

Position Requirements

  • Major in Computer Science, Information Systems, or similar area of study
  • Must possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Must possess a working knowledge of Windows 10 desktops and laptops; Mac OS a plus
  • Must possess a working knowledge of Mobile Devices (iPhones & Android)
  • Must possess a working knowledge of Cloud computing (AWS, GCP, etc.)
  • Experience with IIS, Apache, Tomcat a plus
  • Experience with NodeJS/Java a plus
  • Experiences with Batch/Bash/PowerShell a plus
  • Knowledge in Software and Infrastructure Security such as OWASP top 10 and common security practices
  • Must be a collaborative, team player
  • Must have the ability to be productive independently, but also make decisions collectively with a team
  • Able to multi-task, prioritize and work under stressful situations
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to emergent technology
